Published on 1/21/2017
Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm by President Mike Secor

Attended by 24 members

No new members or bikes

2 Speakers were present: 1) Felipe Freeman of MotoQuest - World Travel by Bikes. He gave a brief description of what they offer for an Alaskan tour. They are based out of Anchorage but travel the world. He also donated a Butler map of Alaska he put together. He did say they left off one road that was later added so find out the road if you win the map.
2)Austin Hutton - "Don't be that guy". He has emailed out his power point presentation that included checklists for items needed for day rides and multi day rides. Not just checking your bike for readiness (last service/oil change/tire tread) but also items like packing ie; extra gloves, underwear, tire repair kit/air pump etc. So make a check list that works for you, good idea. He also discussed the different hand signals used, how to best keep a group together etc. Check your email-good stuff.

Ride Leader Doug Davis gave his ride report, whew, so many choices. He is also planning a group riding meeting to discuss; groups, what to do for breakdowns or false starts etc.

Keith Smith will be hosting Tech Day April 15th - mark your calendar. More info to follow. You can send your tire you need to mount etc before hand. More details as they develope.

Terry Summers - Wine Country Ride to Lavender Mermaid and Doug's epic ride to Silver City will overlap. This gives everyone a chance to ride - short trip or long trip.

The club is hoping to form some committees, ie; photo and social, possibly bring back our club calendar and milage contest. We need people to chair these so....give back to your club if this is your gift. Mark Bond is now our chairperson for our merchandise. Thank you Mark for stepping up.

Doc (newly retired and already cleaning out stuff, go Doc) donated a box of great stuff. He had 7 years of Road Runner magazines. He is also headed to Newfoundland in July and if anyone would like to join him let him know.

Alan Udisky won a flask or very small gas can.

Alexis Casazza won the 50/50 for $38.00

Herd's Hamburgers in Jacksboro will be celebrating 100 years - that's all I know. No date or what that entails.

Ride happy!!!!
